Dag allemaal, ik ben sinds kort de gelukkige bezitter van een zilverkleurige ST1300 uit 2004 met 112000 km.
Ik heb ook nog een Africa Twin van 1992, die naar mijn mening complementair is aan de Pan.
Daarvoor heb ik jaren gereden met een Transalp 600 (ook 1992), die ik een beetje saai vond. De Africa Twin is een veel fijnere machine.
En daarvoor had ik een Honda Dominator 650, een ééncylinder die voor mij een beetje te klein was en minder geschikt voor lange reizen.
Lang geleden reed ik met een Jawa 350, een tweecylinder tweetakt, die me ook nooit in de steek liet.
Waarom de aanschaf van een Pan? De Africa Twin heeft gewoon veel te weinig windbescherming en is daardoor niet fijn op de autosnelweg.
De souplesse en power van de Pan is een openbaring voor mij: je kan hem bij wijze van spreken als een sportmotor rijden, maar met comfort.
